The Quirks About Your Home

It doesn’t matter where you live! The city, suburbs, a farm. A single-family home, condo, townhome, apartment. You own, you rent. There are little quirks and tricks that we do to make things work! If you have an emergency and need help, make sure someone you trust knows how to navigate your home.

  • Security

    • Spare keys?

    • Security codes to get into building or home?

    • Does anyone know you are coming into their home?

    • Are there any animals that may be dangerous?

Make sure you give all of the information! Can this person get into your building, your home? Is someone else home (roommate, child) that knows you are coming? Leave no surprises!

  • Off-Site Info

    • Vehicle parked in a separate parking lot or garage?

    • Any possessions located in a storage unit?

    • Sheds, outbuildings, barns that need to be accessed?

It is easy to overlook the off-site buildings. Sometimes they are open, but you may have a new or old lock that someone will need help getting into in order to help you.

  • Logistics

    • Trash service?

    • Mail delivery?

    • Livestock that need to be fed?

    • Watering plants?

If you will be gone for an extended period of time, it is necessary to keep things running smoothly. Give all the information so that there aren’t any issues for the person helping you.

  • The Weird Stuff

    • Stuck doors or windows?

    • A broken faucet?

    • Septic System?

What else? This window never fully closes. The door won’t stay shut when it’s really cold. Watch your step on this part of the sidewalk, it’s uneven. (I’m thinking of my own home.) Make sure your trusted person is also very patient and willing to deal with the oddities.

Yes, you'll tell these things as needed. You should also write them down in case of an emergency. We're here to help! We have everything you need to get started at MasterMind Docs.
